Meet Dr. W. Clark Andersen

I love the field of orthodontics, because I get to work with people of all ages and help improve their confidence. At the same time, I am always learning about the exciting discoveries and advancements in the field of orthodontics. I especially like that I practice in my home town of Brigham City; I often treat patients who attend the same high school that I went to, Box Elder High School. After I graduated high school, I went to La Paz Bolivia on an LDS mission. I speak Spanish and Aymara (an Indian dialect).

I attended the University of Utah for my bachelor’s degree in Medical Biology. Following my undergraduate studies, I graduated from the Medical College of Virginia of the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond with my Doctor of Dental Surgery Cum Laude. I completed a post-doctoral fellowship and residency in general dentistry at the Yale-New Haven Hospital of the Yale University School of Medicine. After this rigorous residency, I decided that I wanted to pursue additional education in the specialized field of orthodontics. So I went to the Medical College of Virginia for my orthodontic training. To make sure I stay abreast of the latest advancements in the orthodontic profession, I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, the Box Elder Dental Society, and the American Association of Orthodontists. I am the current secretary/treasurer of the Board of the Utah Association of Orthodontists, and I am board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

My wife, Susan, and I have five children. We are blessed with four boys, Clark, Sam, Zachary, Mitchell, and one daughter, McCall. In my free time I love cycling, running, skiing, camping, climbing, and lacrosse. I have completed over 20 marathons, and ran the Boston Marathon twice. I am very active in my community and church. You may see me around running early in the morning, riding my bicycle to the office, or coaching my sons' teams.
